Pacific Northwest Timbers LLC is now certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the responsible management of the world’s forests.
Recycled lumber can usually be identified by some form of historic marking such as nail marks or bolt holes, but there are sometimes remanufactured products that show no sign of previous use.
FSC certifies recycled lumber with a “chain of custody” verification that it has actually come from post industrial/consumer use. We are proud to be a part of this organization.
